Jubilee-Kingsville, part of the Jubilee Academies Charter District, is located at 201 N. 19th Street. Beginning with the 2018-19 school year, Jubilee-Kingsville will serve PreK-8th grade students from a four-county area in the Coastal Bend Region--Kleberg, Jim Wells, Brooks and Nueces. Under the leadership of Mr. Steven M. Solis, Associate Director, Jubilee-Kingsville received its charter site license from the Texas Education Agency and began operation as an open-enrollment charter school serving 160 students from Kindergarten through 8th grade in the 2010-2011 school year. After a successful first year, Jubilee-Kingsville added nearly 110 students and has added additional staffing of teachers as the student population has grown. Currently, Jubilee Kingsville has a population of approximately 270 students.
Students are provided with opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Our students have presented at the Leader in Me Symposium in San Antonio, Texas, and have assisted the event in greeting guests at the door. Jubilee Kingsville has an athletic program that offers basketball (boys and girls), volleyball, cross country, and track.
At Jubilee-Kingsville, we believe our students come first, then our parents, our teachers, principals and then administration. We call this Servant Leadership. We serve up to all of those that work for Jubilee, and especially our students and parents. Customer Service is key with Jubilee-Kingsville and Jubilee Academies. Our vision is to be "The Premier Choice in Education" through the continued nurturing of the students of the Coastal Bend. We are a leadership school and have adopted Steven Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Successful People, which has a division for education called the “Leader in Me” program. We believe leadership begins with each student living the seven habits. These seven habits are:
Be Proactive -You’re in Charge
Begin with the End in Mind - Have a Plan
Put First Things First - Work then Play
Think Win Win - Everyone Can Win
Seek First to Understand then to Be understood - Listen before you Speak
Synergize - Teamwork
Sharpen the Saw - Live a Balanced Life
We look forward to continuing to serve the parents and students of the surrounding community.
The 2018-2019 school year will see the construction of the new Gymnasium Complex. A ground breaking ceremony was held on January 22, 2019 to celebrate the construction of the new facility.
